Leadership
Presidio County faces multiple financial challenges but also opportunities to improve and promote the things that make it a great place to live. I believe that building consensus among elected officials and building trust with constituents are the principle building blocks upon which our communities can thrive.
Over the last 13 years I have been consistently attending Commissioners Court meetings I’ve seen a lot of progress in bringing the County into the 21st century but also failure to be proactive in governing. Whether that’s formulating good policy and implementing it or understanding responsible spending of taxpayer resources, there is a lot of work to do.
As County Judge I promise to expand awareness of County policy by dramatically improving posting information of all types on our County website. I promise to respect my fellow elected officials and make time to understand new issues and old. I promise to be accessible to the public via phone, email and in person meetings. And, lastly, as the chief representative for the entire County of Presidio, I promise to represent every resident and taxpayer of Presidio County regardless of wealth or stature.
Strong leadership is needed for the rapidly changing economic realities of all rural border Counties in Texas. I promise I will be the hardest worker and best leader to raise the ethical and financial status of Presidio County.
